The new Kia Sportage comes with two engines – 2.0 L four cylinder and 2.7 L V6 engine. The other new Kia Sportage LX and Ex V6 trims display a horsepower of 173 @ 6000 rpm and a torque of 178 ft-lbs @ 4000. The V6 engines come with a standard 4-speed auto transmission. However, the new Kia Sportages are not considered to be powerful when compared with other sporty vehicles. The fuel economy also stands at 17 Miles per gallon in the cities and 21 miles per gallon in the highways.
The front grille, front bumper, large door mirrors, fog lamps and bezel headlamps have changed the very look of the new Kia Sportage.
As like the exterior, the interior also comes in added comfort and style. The new Kia Sportage, which can accommodate five passengers, gives a very comfortable drive for both the driver and the passengers. The spacious legroom and the comfortable seats give the luxury of driving long distances. Even there is enough space for the cargo. While the base models come with clothe seats, the EX trims have leather seats.

The Steering Column, Rack and Pinion assisted steering, RSB, ESC Operated through ABS and Traction Control, ALBs, Vented and solid Disc Brakes all give a smooth and safe ride on the roads.
