The Audi RS4 is a luxury convertible sports sedan, which is a 4 passenger, 4 door vehicle. This is available in two trims, the Cabriolet and the Sedan. The Cabriolet is absolutely new in the 2008 model, whereas the Sedan is carried over from 2007. Both these trims have a manual transmission of 6 speeds with a standard overdrive. The car is fitted with a 420 horsepower V8 engine with a standard 4.2 liter. This engine reaches 19 mpg while being driven on a highway and 12 mpg on the city roads.

Safety equipment on this sedan
There are safety airbags of the standard type for the driver, the passenger, sensor and cut off switch for the passenger air bag, an optional second row airbag on the side, and standard head curtain airbags on the side. Theft prevention safety and anti theft locks are fitted on the doors with a panic alarm button in case of an emergency; standard type of unlocking or locking device with valet lockout and a fuel filler cap or door which can be locked.
